COLUMBUS– The Cap City Summer Elite League announced Monday that Blue Jackets star Patrik Laine will be joining team 614 Hockey.
Laine posted 22 goals last season and added on 30 assists for 52 points in 55 games.
The 25-year-old winger is sure to add firepower and flashiness to an already stacked lineup that includes Sean Kuraly and Boone Jenner.
Laine stands at 6-foot-5, and weighs in at 206 lbs.

Also signed was Columbus product Kiefer Sherwood. Sherwood will play for team High Bank Distillery. He previously played for the local AAA program before progressing to the NHL level.
Co-founder JC Campagna says that rosters will be updated weekly, with new talent becoming available for teams as we move closer to training camp.
The Cap City Elite League opens for week two on Tuesday, with games starting out around noon. All games are FREE and open to the public. This is a family friendly atmosphere and a chance to see your favorite past and present Blue Jackets and Buckeye players up close and in person! (And you could see me too, of course).
