Kenny McCudden Leaves Blue Jackets After 8 Seasons

Updated: Sep 28, 2023

COLUMBUS– Jarmo Kekäläinen announced Wednesday morning that assistant coach Kenny McCudden would be leaving the club. McCudden joined the Jackets in June 2015. He was previously a skills coach with the AHL Chicago Wolves, a position he held for almost 20 years.

“It has been a great honor to be part of the Columbus Blue Jackets organization and I want to thank everyone I have worked with – management, coaches, players, support staff – for a wonderful eight years,” said McCudden. “This was a difficult decision, but it is the right time for me to move on and take advantage of other opportunities.”

McCudden had one year remaining on his contract.
