COLUMBUS– Tuesday should be another exciting day for hockey in Columbus as Cap City gets ready to host their third week.
Weeks one and two were a major success, with the fifth line packing Chiller North twice for some three-on-three action.
Patrik Laine joined in on the fun last week. He was accompanied by NHL veterans Sean Kuraly and Jack Roslovic on team 614 Hockey, and he put up a league record nine points in one game.
This week, blueliners Zach Werenski and Nick Blankenburg will check in.
Standing at 6 feet 2 inches tall, Zach Werenski is a highly skilled two-way defenseman. He is going into his eighth season with the organization. Werenski played a pivotal role in each of the Jackets playoff appearances from 2017–2020.
Nick Blankenburg recently finished up an injury-shortened rookie year, only appearing in 36 games. Blankenburg is a physical presence on the blue line, despite only standing at 5 feet 9 inches tall.
Both Werenski and Blankenburg played their college years at the University of Michigan.
Cole Sillinger had an unexpectedly disappointing sophomore NHL season, spending a good chunk of it in the minors with Cleveland. He is looking to bounce back and reshape into his rookie year form.
